关于地图
Almonte Map Poster & Print
Almonte, in the province of Huelva in western Andalusia, is one of the largest municipalities in Spain by area. The town itself is compact and white, set among vineyards, olive groves and pine woods. The municipality, however, stretches far to the south, across a large part of Doñana National Park and down to the Atlantic coast.
Doñana is one of Europe's most important wetlands and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where marshes, dunes and pine forest shelter huge numbers of migrating birds. On the map it appears as a broad, almost empty expanse crossed by only a few tracks. At its edge lies the village of El Rocío, with sandy streets and a large shrine looking out over the marsh.
Each year at Pentecost, El Rocío becomes the destination of the Romería del Rocío, one of Spain's best-known pilgrimages. On the coast, the resort of Matalascañas lines the beach. An Almonte map poster can focus on the town's close streets or open out to show the whole territory, from village to wetland to sea.

El Rocío
The village sits at the edge of the Doñana marshes. Its wide, unpaved streets and open plazas around the shrine suit the pilgrims who arrive on horseback and in carts.
Doñana and the coast
South of the village, marshes, lagoons and dunes spread towards the sea, and the long, straight Atlantic beach runs past Matalascañas, giving the map a strong coastal edge.

为什么选Almonte
一张有意义的地图
Almonte means different things to different people: a home town, a pilgrimage, a birdwatching trip or a summer by the sea. The map can hold all of them, and the empty spaces of Doñana contrast sharply with the close grain of the streets.
Personalise the title with Almonte, El Rocío or a family name, add a date in the subtitle and adjust the coordinates. Choose one of five styles, and Sand and Paper suit this landscape well. Order a matte print or download the $9 HD files.
