An Nimas lies in the Asir Region of southwestern Saudi Arabia, in the mountain country of the Sarawat range. Its setting shapes the map more than any plan could. Streets follow ridgelines and valley floors, neighbourhoods sit on terraces and spurs, and main roads curve to keep their gradient. The result is a set of irregular clusters linked by winding routes rather than a single dense centre.
The town sits at high elevation, which gives it a milder climate than the lowlands to the west, where the mountains drop steeply toward the Red Sea coast. Terraced fields have long been part of farming life in this region, and their stepped outlines often show where settlement meets open slopes.
Rendered in simple linework, the An Nimas map poster turns rugged terrain into a pattern of curving roads and scattered street clusters, with open space where the slopes are too steep to build on.
