Parbati river
The river winds past the town, its soft curves forming one of the few natural lines in the otherwise flat landscape of the Malwa plateau.

关于地图
Ashta Map Poster & Print
Ashta lies in Sehore district in Madhya Pradesh, on the Malwa plateau between Bhopal and Indore. The Parbati river flows near the town, and on a map its curving course provides a natural edge to the settlement, contrasting with the roads that cross the landscape in straighter lines.
The town has a dense older centre, where narrow streets bend and branch around markets and temples, surrounded by newer residential areas laid out more openly. Beyond them spreads the flat agricultural land typical of Malwa, known for its dark soils and seasonal crops.
An Ashta map poster captures the river, the tight tangle of the old town and the main roads leading toward nearby cities. The balance of organic lanes and long, straight highways gives the composition a clear structure without losing the texture of a lived-in place.

Highway approaches
Main roads toward Bhopal, Indore and neighbouring towns leave the centre in long straight lines, framing the town within the wider region.
