关于地图
Avadi Map Poster & Print
Avadi is a city on the western edge of the Chennai metropolitan area in Tamil Nadu. On the map, the railway line from Chennai runs straight through it, and residential neighbourhoods fill in on either side. Large fenced campuses break up the street grid, each appearing as a broad, open shape among the dense streets.
Avadi is known as a centre of India's defence industry. It is home to the Heavy Vehicles Factory, which has produced the Arjun main battle tank, along with other defence and military establishments. Those sites take up large areas of land and have shaped how the rest of the city grew around them.
An Avadi map poster shows that unusual mix: the long straight railway, tightly packed residential streets and the big, calm blocks of the defence campuses. Water tanks and lakes on the flat land add further open shapes. It is a portrait of a city that is both a commuter suburb and an industrial town.

Defence campuses
Large enclosed sites, including the Heavy Vehicles Factory, appear as broad open areas. They stand out against the much finer grain of the residential streets around them.
Dense neighbourhoods
Between the railway and the campuses, residential streets pack tightly together. They form a fine texture that fills much of the city.

为什么选Avadi
一张有意义的地图
Many families in Avadi have ties to the defence industry and the railway, and a map of the place where parents worked or children grew up can mean a lot. It makes a good gift for relatives who have moved elsewhere.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with your neighbourhood or a special date. Then choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint brings out the city's industrial character.
