关于地图
Awka Map Poster & Print
Awka lies in south-eastern Nigeria, between Onitsha and Enugu, and became the capital of Anambra State when the state was created in 1991. From above, the town gathers around older quarters and markets, with newer government districts, estates and schools extending along the main roads. The Enugu–Onitsha expressway cuts across the area as the dominant straight line on the map.
The town has a long reputation for metalwork. For centuries Awka blacksmiths were known across Igboland and travelled widely to forge tools and ritual objects, and the craft is still part of local identity. Awka is also home to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, whose campus adds a large area of planned roads and buildings to the urban pattern.
An Awka map poster shows a city that is still growing: a dense core of irregular streets, routes radiating toward neighbouring communities, and the looser, more regular layouts of recent development. In a minimalist print, the contrast between the organic older town and the newer planned sections becomes the main story, drawn without colour or clutter.

Older town quarters
The historic core is made of winding streets and closely packed plots. Family compounds and markets shaped this pattern, not a planner's grid, and it gives the centre a dense, organic texture.
University campus
Nnamdi Azikiwe University occupies a sizeable site within the city. Its internal roads and open spaces form a distinct, more ordered block on the map.
