关于地图
Ayvalık Map Poster & Print
Ayvalık lies on the north Aegean coast of Turkey, across a narrow stretch of sea from the Greek island of Lesbos. The coastline around it is among the most intricate in the country. A shallow bay is closed off by an archipelago of small islands, and the largest of them, Cunda, also called Alibey Island, is connected to the mainland by a road across a causeway and bridge.
The old town is a dense maze of narrow streets that climb gently from the harbour, lined with stone houses from the time when Ayvalık was a mostly Greek town. On a map this core looks almost woven. Around it lie olive groves, the long beaches of Sarımsaklı to the south, and many small islands dotted across the bay.
An Ayvalık map poster is mostly water, and that is its strength. The islands and inlets give the coastline a rare complexity, while the town packs its detail into one corner of the bay. The area has long been known for its olive oil, and summer visitors often end the day at the Şeytan Sofrası hilltop to watch the sunset over the islands.

Island-studded bay
Dozens of small islands and islets lie in the bay and along the coast. Their outlines make an unusually busy, fragmented shoreline.
Old stone quarter
The historic town's narrow, irregular streets rise from the harbour, forming the densest patch of lines on the poster.

为什么选Ayvalık
一张有意义的地图
Ayvalık is a place of summers: family holidays, old houses bought and restored, evenings at the waterfront. A map of its bay and islands brings that coastline into a room all year round, and the large areas of water keep the design light and open.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with the name of an island or the year you first came. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download all six print sizes for $9, or order a matte poster with an optional wooden frame.
