Terrain-led streets
Instead of a rigid grid, the streets bend and fork with the slopes. The irregular pattern is the clearest sign of the mountainous setting on the map.

关于地图
Azacualpa Map Poster & Print
Azacualpa lies in the Santa Bárbara Department of western Honduras, a region of steep ridges, river valleys and small highland towns. From above, the terrain does most of the work. The streets cannot run in a strict grid, so they follow the land, curving along slopes and gathering wherever the ground is level enough to build.
The surrounding department is largely rural, known for agriculture on hillside plots, including coffee grown at higher altitudes. Roads between towns wind through the mountains rather than taking direct routes. On a map this gives the area a looping, organic character, quite different from the flat grids of the coast.
An Azacualpa map poster shows a mountain town in which the land sets the plan. The centre looks dense and irregular, and the roads leading out of town trace long curves across the hills. In monochrome, the result feels almost hand-drawn, a personal picture of a place that is rarely mapped in detail.

The town centre
The densest cluster of streets marks the core of the town, where the ground levels out enough for closely spaced blocks and the main public spaces.
Winding approach roads
The roads connecting Azacualpa with neighbouring towns loop across ridges and valleys. They add long, flowing lines that reach toward the edges of the poster.
