关于地图
Azemmour Map Poster & Print
Azemmour is an old town on Morocco's Atlantic coast, a short distance northeast of El Jadida. It sits on the left bank of the Oum Er-Rbia, one of the country's longest rivers, just before it reaches the ocean. The medina rises directly above the water, its whitewashed houses set behind ramparts that follow the edge of the riverbank.
The Portuguese held Azemmour in the early sixteenth century, and the fortifications from that period still shape the old town's outline. Inside the walls, narrow lanes twist between houses in the dense, irregular pattern of a Moroccan medina. Azemmour is also remembered as the birthplace of Estevanico, a sixteenth-century explorer who travelled through what is now the southern United States.
An Azemmour map poster places the compact walled medina against the broad curve of the river and the open Atlantic shoreline. Newer neighbourhoods spread inland on a more regular plan, and the coast north of the river mouth adds a long beach line. The contrast between the dense old town and open water gives the composition its strength.

Oum Er-Rbia mouth
The river bends past the town and widens toward the Atlantic, a broad sweep of water that frames the medina on its eastern side.
Atlantic coastline
A long, straight beach runs along the ocean edge, giving the poster a clean horizon line between the town and the sea.
