关于地图
Baki Map Poster & Print
Baki lies in Sukoharjo regency, Central Java, just south-west of Surakarta, also known as Solo. From above, it is not a single compact town. Instead, it is a network of villages, or desa, connected by roads and lanes, with rice fields and gardens filling the spaces between the clusters of houses. The ground is low and mostly flat.
Baki's closeness to Solo shapes its growth. Main roads link it to the city, and housing has gradually spread along them, turning fields into neighbourhoods. The older village clusters remain visible on the map as small, dense knots of lanes, each surrounded by a thin margin of green, while newer developments follow more regular layouts.
A Baki map poster captures this intricate, mixed landscape. The lanes and paths create a fine, detailed texture across the frame, main roads add stronger lines, and the rice fields leave open areas that give the composition room to breathe. It is a very Javanese image, both crowded and green, and it rewards close looking.

Rice field patches
Irrigated fields fill the gaps between settlements. They form open areas on the map that are gradually giving way to new housing.
Roads to Solo
Main roads link Baki to Surakarta to the north-east. Houses and shops line them, and they form the map's clearest lines.
