Mahi River islands
The river breaks into channels around dozens of small islands, a pattern that gives the district its well-known nickname and reads beautifully in black and white.

关于地图
Bānswāra Map Poster & Print
Bānswāra sits in the far south of Rajasthan, in the green, hilly Vagad country near the borders with Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. It feels different from the desert towns further north. From above, the town is a dense core of lanes surrounded by tanks, fields and wooded rises, with roads leaving in several directions towards the villages of the district.
The Mahi River is the defining water of the region. Its many small islands have earned Bānswāra the nickname City of a Hundred Islands, and the Mahi Bajaj Sagar dam upstream holds back a large reservoir. On a wider map, the scattered river islands and the reservoir's fingered shoreline become the most striking shapes on the page.
A Bānswāra map poster captures the contrast between the tight old town and the open, watery country around it. Lakes appear as clean white forms inside the street network, while the outlying roads show how the town ties into a largely rural, tribal district shaped by the Bhil communities who have long lived here.

Town lakes
Tanks and small lakes sit within and beside the built-up area, their smooth outlines interrupting the irregular grid of older neighbourhoods.
Radiating roads
Routes spread out from the centre towards surrounding villages and the reservoir, giving the map a hub-like structure against open countryside.

为什么选Bānswāra
一张有意义的地图
The map works as a reminder of home for anyone from southern Rajasthan, or as a record of time spent in the Vagad hills. You can personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a date or a family name, and adjust the coordinates line.
Five styles are available: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand pairs naturally with Rajasthan's palette, and Noir lets the lakes stand out sharply. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
