关于地图
Banūr Map Poster & Print
Banūr lies in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district, better known as Mohali district, on the plains south of Chandigarh. It was once a modest market town on the road between the capital and Patiala. Today it sits within the growth zone of the tricity area, and new roads, housing colonies and campuses are appearing alongside the traditional farmland.
The town has a place in Sikh history. In 1710 it was among the places taken by Banda Singh Bahadur's forces during the campaign that ended in the capture of Sirhind. On the map, the old centre remains a compact knot of lanes among the flat Punjab fields, while newer development spreads loosely around it.
A Banūr map poster shows this meeting of eras. It holds the tight historic centre, the straight main roads towards Chandigarh and Patiala, and the grid of fields and new developments pushing outwards. In black and white, the town reads clearly as a crossroads between old Punjab and the modern Chandigarh region.

Highway to Patiala
The main road linking the Chandigarh area with Patiala passes through Banūr. This strong straight line organises the town and much of its recent growth.
Punjab field grid
The surrounding farmland is divided into long rectangular fields, typical of the Punjab plain. New colonies and campuses are gradually filling the land closest to the town.

为什么选Banūr
一张有意义的地图
Banūr matters to Sikh families for its history and to many others as a hometown that has changed quickly with the growth of Mohali and Chandigarh. A map poster records the town as it is now, a place in transition.
The title can carry the town's name or a family name, and the subtitle and coordinates line are also editable. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and download HD files or order a matte print with an optional frame.
