Town square
The centre gathers around the alun-alun, the traditional town square, where the main streets meet and the street pattern is at its densest.

关于地图
Batu Map Poster & Print
Batu lies in a high valley in East Java, surrounded by volcanic mountains including Arjuno and Panderman. On a map the town is compact at its centre, around the square and the main streets, then spreads unevenly along roads that follow the slopes. Farmland, orchards and forest press in from every side, and the winding mountain roads give the edges of the map a loose, organic character.
Separated from Malang Regency as a city in its own right in 2001, Batu is known across Indonesia for its cool climate, apple orchards and theme parks. Families from Surabaya and beyond come for weekend trips, and the local economy mixes farming, horticulture and tourism. The surrounding hills also hold hot springs and waterfalls, part of what made the area a mountain retreat since the colonial period.
A Batu map poster shows how the town fits its landscape: the tight central blocks, the roads snaking up the slopes, and the patches of open land where orchards and fields take over. The mountain setting gives the composition a sense of depth even in flat black and white, which makes it stand apart from maps of lowland cities.

Mountain roads
Beyond the core, roads curve and switch back along the volcanic slopes, drawing loops and bends that contrast with the straighter streets of the centre.
Orchard land
Open agricultural land around the town, much of it given to fruit and vegetables, leaves wide spaces on the map that frame the built-up areas.

为什么选Batu
一张有意义的地图
For many Indonesians, Batu is the setting of family holidays, honeymoons or school trips, and for residents it is a mountain home. A map of the town makes a gentle reminder of cool air and green slopes, especially in a city apartment.
Write your own title and subtitle, mark the date of a trip or a wedding, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital files are $9 for all six sizes, with no watermark.
