Estuary mangroves
Along the northern side, the tidal channels of the Paraíba estuary split into many narrow threads, giving the map an irregular, feathered border that contrasts with the planned blocks inland.

关于地图
Bayeux Map Poster & Print
Bayeux sits directly west of João Pessoa, so closely joined to the capital that on a map the boundary is little more than a line drawn through continuous streets. Its dense residential blocks fill a low strip of land, while to the north the ground gives way to the mangroves and tidal channels of the Paraíba estuary, drawn as a soft, branching fringe rather than a hard edge.
The name comes from Normandy. The town was renamed in 1944 in honour of Bayeux in France, the first French town liberated after the D-Day landings, and the name has stayed ever since. The region's international airport lies within the municipality, and its runway appears as a single straight stroke among the much smaller grain of local streets.
A Bayeux map poster works in the space between two textures: the regular pattern of neighbourhood streets and the looser, organic shapes of water and mangrove. In black and white the contrast is clear, and the busy road links toward João Pessoa show how closely the town is tied to the larger city next door.

Airport runway
The long straight runway of the region's international airport lies within the municipality, one of the few clean, unbroken lines on an otherwise finely divided street plan.
Seamless city edge
To the east, Bayeux's streets run straight into João Pessoa without a gap, so the poster captures one side of a continuous metropolitan area.
