关于地图
Baytown Map Poster & Print
Baytown lies east of Houston where the San Jacinto River and the Houston Ship Channel open into upper Galveston Bay. Its map has a ragged water edge of bays, coves and bayous on the west and south, industrial complexes along the shoreline, and a wide spread of neighbourhoods inland, crossed by Interstate 10 to the north.
The city was formed in the late 1940s from the consolidation of Goose Creek, Pelly and Baytown, communities that grew with the oil field and the refinery built here around 1920. The ExxonMobil complex remains one of the largest refining sites in the country. The Fred Hartman Bridge, a cable-stayed crossing of the ship channel, links Baytown with La Porte.
A Baytown map poster shows a city drawn by water and industry. Peninsulas, bayous and marshes break up the western edge, the large rectangles of plants and tank farms sit along it, and the residential streets fill the land behind. The result is dense, varied and quite unlike a typical suburban grid.

Goose Creek
The bayou that gave one of the original towns its name winds through the city towards the bay, a thin irregular line among the residential streets.
Baytown Nature Center
On a peninsula once occupied by a subdivision abandoned after land subsidence and storm flooding, marsh and trails now form an intricate pattern of water and land.

为什么选Baytown
一张有意义的地图
Baytown is a map for people tied to the Gulf Coast: those who have worked at the plants, crossed the bridge every day or grew up near the bayous. The detailed shoreline makes it a striking print even for those who have never visited.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, with Blueprint suiting the industrial waterfront especially well. Order the $9 HD files in six sizes, or a printed poster on matte paper.
