关于地图
Berisso Map Poster & Print
Berisso lies on the flat shore of the Río de la Plata, just east of the city of La Plata in Buenos Aires Province. On the map, the town's orderly grid of streets sits on low ground between the provincial capital and the water. Toward the river, the land breaks up into canals, marshes and wooded riverbank.
The town grew around two large meatpacking plants, Swift and Armour, which opened in the early twentieth century and drew workers from across Europe and the Middle East. Calle Nueva York, the street that ran beside the plants, still carries that history. The Port of La Plata and its canals lie along the town's edge, forming long straight channels toward the river.
Berisso holds the title of provincial capital of the immigrant and hosts an annual festival celebrating the communities that settled here. A Berisso map poster shows the full sweep of this setting: the regular street grid, the industrial port canals, and the islands and riverside woodland along the Río de la Plata.

Riverside islands
Toward the Río de la Plata, the land breaks into marshes and islands such as Isla Paulino, separated by channels and fringed by dense riverbank woodland.
Working grid
The residential streets follow a simple, regular grid inherited from the town's industrial growth, set against the irregular waterways that surround it.

为什么选Berisso
一张有意义的地图
Berisso means a great deal to the families whose grandparents arrived to work in its meatpacking plants. A map of the town, with its canals and riverbank, makes a thoughtful piece for descendants of those communities in Argentina and abroad.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example to include a family name or an arrival year. Five styles are available: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
