Delta canals
Irrigation canals and drainage channels cross the area in long, straight lines. They give the map a set of strong linear accents that frame the denser streets of the town.

关于地图
Bhimavaram Map Poster & Print
Bhimavaram sits in the Godavari delta of Andhra Pradesh, where the land is almost perfectly flat and water sets the pattern. On a map the town appears as a compact knot of streets surrounded by rectangles of irrigated paddy and aquaculture ponds, with canals and drains running in long straight lines toward the coast. Roads follow the embankments, so the street plan bends wherever the water does.
The town is a commercial centre for West Godavari, and its economy is closely tied to rice and to shrimp and fish farming. Aquaculture has turned much of the surrounding countryside into a grid of shallow ponds. Seen from above, that grid gives the outskirts an unusual geometric texture, finer and more regular than the older lanes around the market and the railway station.
Bhimavaram is also known for the Somarama temple, one of the five Pancharama shrines to Shiva in the region. A Bhimavaram map poster shows the town at a scale where the temple quarter, the railway line and the canals read as one connected drawing. Beyond them, the delta's patchwork of fields and ponds spreads out to every edge of the frame.

Aquaculture ponds
Shrimp and fish ponds cover much of the surrounding land. At poster scale they appear as a fine mosaic of small rectangles, a texture that few other maps have.
Railway through town
The railway line crosses Bhimavaram and ties it to the rest of coastal Andhra. It draws a clear line through the street network and marks the edge of the older commercial core.

为什么选Bhimavaram
一张有意义的地图
For people who grew up in the delta or moved away from it, Bhimavaram is defined by water and fields as much as by streets. A map of it holds that landscape in a single view, the kind of image that still means something on a wall long after a visit home.
The poster can carry your own title and subtitle, such as a family name, a wedding date or the year you left, along with a coordinates line. Choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand to match the room it will hang in.
