On level ground the streets form a largely regular pattern of blocks, giving Biruaca an orderly, even texture across the whole poster.

关于地图
Biruaca Map Poster & Print
Biruaca is a town in Apure state in the Venezuelan llanos, the vast tropical grasslands of the Orinoco basin. It lies right next to San Fernando de Apure, the state capital, and on the map the two form one connected urban area. Biruaca's streets reach out across the flat plain, arranged in a largely regular pattern of blocks.
The llanos are an extremely flat landscape, flooded in the rainy season and dry for the rest of the year, and roads here tend to run long and straight across open savanna. Cattle ranching has long shaped the region's economy and culture, including the llanero music and traditions for which Apure is known throughout Venezuela.
A Biruaca map poster captures a llanos town at its simplest: an orderly grid of streets, the roads that tie it to San Fernando and the rest of the state, and the open savanna stretching to the horizon. With no hills in the way, the geometry of the streets comes through clearly, clean and calm on the page.

Link to San Fernando
The built-up area merges with the neighbouring state capital, and the roads between the two show how closely the towns have grown together.
Savanna edges
At the edge of town, streets give way to open grassland crossed by a few straight roads, a wide margin that frames the settlement.
