关于地图
Bopal Map Poster
Bopal lies on the western edge of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Once a separate village, it has become one of the city's fastest-growing residential areas. On a map the old village core is still visible as a knot of irregular lanes. Around it spread the larger, more regular blocks of modern apartment societies and gated communities.
The Sardar Patel Ring Road runs nearby and gives Bopal quick connections to the rest of Ahmedabad and to the highways beyond. Its arrival helped drive much of the growth in the area. Planned roads, schools and commercial strips now fill land that was farmland not long ago.
A Bopal map poster shows a suburb in the middle of its transformation. The dense lanes of the old village, the broad new roads and the neatly outlined housing blocks appear side by side. It is a revealing snapshot of how Indian cities are expanding outwards, drawn in clean black and white.

Old village core
The original settlement survives as a small area of narrow, irregular lanes. It contrasts clearly with the planned blocks around it.
Apartment societies
Gated housing complexes form large rectangular parcels with internal roads. They cover much of the suburb in a regular pattern.
