Streets shaped by hills
The street network follows the lie of the land. It curves along valley floors and up gentle slopes, which gives the poster soft, flowing lines instead of a rigid grid.

关于地图
Borda da Mata Map Poster & Print
Borda da Mata is in the far south of Minas Gerais, in hilly country near the Serra da Mantiqueira. Terrain shapes the town. From above, the streets do not form a neat grid but bend around slopes and valley floors, and the built-up area stretches along the lower ground where building is easiest.
The centre is compact, and the main streets are tightly spaced. Beyond it, residential streets climb the surrounding hills and then give way to rural roads and fields. The resulting outline is irregular and organic, typical of the small towns scattered through the uplands of southern Minas.
Borda da Mata is widely known in Brazil for its garment industry, especially pyjama production, which supports many local businesses. A Borda da Mata map poster leaves that story to the viewer and shows the town's shape instead: winding streets, a dense core and the hills pressing in from every side.

Dense town centre
The oldest and busiest streets gather in a small central area. They form the darkest, most detailed part of the map, around which everything else is arranged.
Upland countryside
Rural roads leave town into the hills of southern Minas Gerais. They create an open frame of thin lines around the compact urban core.
