Borsad Map Poster & Print
Borsad is in Anand district, in the fertile Charotar region of central Gujarat between the Mahi and Sabarmati rivers. The land is almost entirely flat, and from above the town appears as a dense, irregular old core, with newer housing societies laid out in straighter lines around it.
Beyond the edge of town, the map turns into a pattern of field boundaries, village roads and small ponds. Roads leave the centre in several directions toward neighbouring villages, which gives the composition a loose star shape. On a black-and-white print, the tight old streets and the open countryside make a clear contrast.
The town has a place in India's independence movement. The Borsad Satyagraha of 1923–24, a campaign against an unfair tax, was led by Vallabhbhai Patel. A Borsad map poster records a working agricultural town in the heart of Charotar and its roads out to the villages around it.
