关于地图
Brookline Map Poster & Print
Brookline is a Massachusetts town almost surrounded by Boston, and its outline is unusual: a long wedge pushing in between Allston, the Fenway and Jamaica Plain. Beacon Street crosses the northern half as a wide boulevard carrying Green Line tracks down its centre. Coolidge Corner forms a dense knot of shops and apartment blocks where Beacon meets Harvard Street.
Farther south, the grid loosens. Lanes wind over the hills around large estates, the Country Club and Larz Anderson Park, and streets follow contours instead of straight lines. Along the eastern edge, the Riverway and Olmsted Park trace the Muddy River as part of the Emerald Necklace. Frederick Law Olmsted designed that park chain and ran his practice from a house in Brookline.
The town is also the birthplace of John F. Kennedy, and his childhood home on Beals Street is preserved as a national historic site. A Brookline map poster captures the contrast between the tight, streetcar-era north and the green, open south, drawn in clean black line. It works as a record of an apartment near a T stop or of long walks along the Riverway.

Emerald Necklace edge
The Riverway and Olmsted Park follow the Muddy River along the eastern border, so the town line becomes a soft, winding ribbon of water and parkland.
Southern hills
In the south, curving lanes, large estates and open greens such as Larz Anderson Park replace the grid, and the map thins into loose, looping lines.

为什么选Brookline
一张有意义的地图
Brookline is where many people spend their first years in Boston: a first apartment, graduate school, a young family near good schools. The map records that particular address on a quiet wall, with the town's odd shape doing most of the visual work.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a street name or move-in date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download HD files for $9 in six sizes, or have a matte print shipped, framed if you like.
