Bunjwah sits in the mountainous east of Jammu and Kashmir, in the wider catchment of the Chenab. From above, this is not a town of grids or boulevards. Roads follow the land, bending around spurs and dropping into side valleys, and houses gather wherever the slope eases enough to build.
On a map this gives Bunjwah a loose, organic outline. A few main routes carry most of the movement, and smaller paths branch off towards hamlets on the surrounding hillsides. Streams cut down through the terrain and leave narrow lines that the roads often shadow. The empty space between them matters as much as the built-up parts, because it shows how much of the area is still steep ground and field.
