Camaiore Map Poster & Print
Camaiore stretches from the foothills of the Apuan Alps to the Tyrrhenian coast of Versilia in northwest Tuscany. The historic town sits inland, at the foot of the hills, with a compact centre of long parallel streets that recall its origins as a stop on the Via Francigena pilgrim route. From above, the old core is small, dense and remarkably orderly.
Between the town and the sea, the land flattens into a plain crossed by roads, canals and scattered houses. On the coast, Lido di Camaiore adds a very different pattern: a straight shoreline, a long promenade and blocks of streets set at right angles to the beach. The two centres, one medieval and one seaside, make the municipality unusually varied on a single map.
The Camaiore map poster works as a cross-section of Versilia, with hills at one side, sea at the other and a clear line of settlement between them. In monochrome, the ridge lines, the flat middle ground and the straight edge of the beach each read distinctly, making a calm and well-proportioned print.
