关于地图
Carpina Map Poster & Print
Carpina lies in the Zona da Mata of Pernambuco, the humid belt of rolling land behind the coast that has been sugarcane country for centuries. On a map, the town sits at a meeting of roads leading toward Recife, the interior and neighbouring towns. The streets gather in a compact centre and then spread outward over low hills.
The town grew as a trading and service centre for the surrounding agricultural region, with markets, schools and businesses serving smaller communities nearby. Around it, large cane fields and farm roads cover the landscape. Streams and small valleys cut through the land between them.
A Carpina map poster shows a town with a clear centre and a gently irregular outline. In the core, the streets form a fairly dense grid around the main squares and church. Farther out, they curve with the terrain, and the surrounding countryside appears as open space crossed by roads leading in several directions.
