关于地图
Catanzaro Map Poster & Print
Catanzaro is the capital of Calabria, built along a narrow ridge above two deep river valleys, a few kilometres inland from the Ionian Sea. From above, the old town follows the ridge in a long, tight strip. Its streets are winding and closely packed, while newer districts spread down the slopes and along the valley towards Catanzaro Lido on the coast.
The city lies at the narrowest point of the Italian peninsula, where only around thirty kilometres separate the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas. Catanzaro is therefore sometimes called the city of two seas. The Ponte Bisantis, a concrete arch viaduct built across one of the valleys in the early 1960s, is among the largest single-arch bridges of its kind in Europe.
A Catanzaro map poster captures a city shaped entirely by terrain: the ridge, the ravines, the bridge crossing the gap and the coastline beyond. In black and white the old town's tight streets and the long sweep down to the sea make a strong vertical composition.

Ponte Bisantis
This large concrete arch viaduct spans one of the valleys beside the old town. On the poster it is a clean, straight line across a wide gap.
Down to the Lido
The city extends down the valley to Catanzaro Lido on the Ionian coast. The shoreline gives the composition a clear lower edge.

为什么选Catanzaro
一张有意义的地图
Catanzaro is a city of views, and this map shows why: a ridge between valleys, a bridge across the gap and the sea below. It suits anyone with Calabrian roots, including families of emigrants now living far from the south.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for instance with a family name or a year of emigration. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
