关于地图
Česká Lípa Map Poster & Print
Česká Lípa lies in the Liberec Region of northern Bohemia, and the Ploučnice river winds through it in wide loops. From above, the historic centre forms a compact grid around a large rectangular square. The river bends around it, with parks along the banks. Beyond the centre, large panel housing estates built in the second half of the twentieth century spread across the surrounding ground.
The town's best-known landmark is the water castle, Vodní hrad Lipý, a medieval fortress originally surrounded by the river's waters. Česká Lípa is also linked with Albrecht von Wallenstein, the Thirty Years' War general, who founded an Augustinian monastery here. The Baroque monastery and the old square are among the town's most recognisable features.
A Česká Lípa map poster shows a clear contrast between eras. The regular medieval grid and its square sit at the centre, the Ploučnice curls around them, and the long rectangular blocks of the housing estates fill the outer districts. The river gives the composition a natural flowing line through what would otherwise be a very ordered town.

Main square
The large rectangular square anchors the historic centre. Streets run out from it in a regular grid that is easy to pick out on the poster.
Housing estates
The panel housing estates on the outskirts show up as long, repeating blocks. Their pattern is very different from the finer grain of the old town.
