Chilibre Map Poster & Print
Chilibre is a corregimiento in the district of Panamá, north of Panama City, along the Transístmica highway that crosses the isthmus towards Colón. On a map it takes the shape of a long corridor, with housing and businesses lining the highway and neighbourhoods branching off it into the surrounding hills.
To the north and east lies the watershed of the Chagres River, including Lake Alajuela and the forests of Chagres National Park, which protect much of the water supply for the Panama Canal. The contrast between the built-up corridor and this large green area is the defining feature of the map.
