关于地图
Chunga Map Poster & Print
Chunga lies on the western side of Lusaka, Zambia's capital, on the high plateau that gives the city its mild climate. On a map it is part of a wide belt of residential neighbourhoods around the city centre. Its streets mix irregular lanes with more regular blocks, depending on how each area developed.
The ground here is fairly flat, so history and planning shape the street pattern more than the terrain does. Some parts have the tight, informal texture of self-built neighbourhoods, with short, winding paths between plots, while others follow straighter lines. At the edges, the built-up area gives way to open land and roads leading out of the city.
A Chunga map poster is a portrait of everyday Lusaka rather than its landmarks: the homes, lanes and main roads that make up so much of the city. People who know the area will spot the details at once. For others the drawing offers an honest view of how a growing capital fills its edges.

Connecting roads
Main roads link Chunga with central Lusaka and neighbouring areas. They draw firmer lines that give structure to the surrounding pattern of lanes.
Open edges
Unbuilt land at the margins of the neighbourhood appears as open space, marking where the city's growth has not yet filled in.

为什么选Chunga
一张有意义的地图
Maps of home carry weight for people who have moved away from Lusaka, whether to the Copperbelt or overseas. A poster of Chunga records the streets of a childhood or a family house with a precision that photographs rarely manage.
Name the poster as you wish, add a subtitle and a date, or keep the coordinates line. Choose between Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster on matte paper.
