Cumberland River
The river winds along the west side of downtown. Its broad, curving line gives the city a natural boundary and a riverfront park.

关于地图
Clarksville Map Poster & Print
Clarksville grew up where the Red River flows into the Cumberland, and the two waterways still shape the map. The historic downtown sits on bluffs above the Cumberland, with a grid of streets close to the river. From there the city has expanded in all directions along highways and new subdivisions, reaching toward Interstate 24 and the Kentucky state line.
Founded in 1785 and named after the explorer George Rogers Clark, Clarksville is one of Tennessee's older towns, and it was once a major centre of the dark-fired tobacco trade. Today it is closely linked to Fort Campbell, the large army post on the state line, and it is home to Austin Peay State University. The Olympic sprinter Wilma Rudolph grew up here.
A Clarksville map poster shows both the old and the new city: the compact downtown grid and riverfront, the long curves of the Cumberland, and fast-growing suburbs stretching out in loops and branches. The rivers give the design a natural spine, and the rest of the pattern unfolds around it.

Red River confluence
Just north of downtown, the smaller Red River joins the Cumberland. The meeting of the two channels makes a distinctive point in the map's composition.
Downtown grid
The historic centre, around Franklin Street and the county courthouse, keeps a tight grid of streets on the bluff. It contrasts with the looser suburban patterns beyond.

一张有意义的地图
Clarksville is home to many military families and Austin Peay graduates, and a map of the city can mark a posting, a degree or a first home. You can set your own title and subtitle, perhaps with a unit, a year or a family name, and keep the coordinates.
The map comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame, ship from partners in over 30 countries. The $9 download includes 18×24″ and 24×36″ among its six sizes.
