Trotuş valley
The river runs lengthwise through the town and gives the map its main axis. Most streets sit on the flat valley floor, and the hills close in on both sides.

关于地图
Comăneşti Map Poster & Print
Comăneşti lies in Bacău County, in the valley of the Trotuş River as it flows out of the Eastern Carpathians. The valley is narrow here, so the town is long rather than round. Its main roads and the railway follow the river, and the residential streets fill the flat ground and lower slopes on either side until the forest takes over.
The town has a long association with coal mining, which drove much of its twentieth-century growth. It is also home to the Ghica Palace, a former residence of the Ghica family set in a park. Across Romania, Comăneşti is known for its New Year bear dance, when groups in heavy bearskin costumes parade through the streets.
A Comăneşti map poster shows how strongly terrain shapes a town. The river winds through the middle of the frame, with the road and railway bundled alongside it, and side streets climb a short way into the tributary valleys. In black and white the long, linear form reads clearly, framed by the emptier space of the wooded hills.

Road and rail bundle
The main road and the railway follow the river closely. They draw parallel lines through the town that emphasise its long, narrow shape on the poster.
Ghica Palace park
The former Ghica residence stands in its own park, which appears on the map as a quieter pocket of paths among the surrounding streets.

为什么选Comăneşti
一张有意义的地图
People from Comăneşti often remember the valley itself: the river, the hills and the winter bear parades. A map that follows that narrow shape is a simple way to keep the town present on a wall far from the Carpathians.
Add a family name or a year to the title and subtitle, keep the coordinates and choose one of five styles. Noir makes the valley glow against dark space, while Paper keeps it soft. Digital files cost $9, and printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
