关于地图
Coscomatepec de Bravo Map Poster & Print
Coscomatepec de Bravo lies in the central mountains of Veracruz, on the lower slopes of Pico de Orizaba (Citlaltépetl), Mexico's highest peak. The land around it drops steeply toward the Gulf coast and is cut by deep ravines. The mild, humid slopes are known for coffee growing, and the town serves as a local centre for that country.
The town centre follows the Spanish colonial pattern: a regular grid of streets around a main square and church. Because of the terrain, the grid is not perfect. Streets bend and stop at the edges of ravines, and the town cannot spread far in some directions. Winding roads leave town and climb toward the volcano or descend into the valleys.
A Coscomatepec de Bravo map poster shows the tension between a planned grid and rugged ground. The orderly centre is surrounded by the irregular lines of ravines and mountain roads, and that makes the print lively and distinctive. Its name honours Nicolás Bravo, a hero of Mexico's War of Independence.

Ravine edges
Deep ravines cut into the slopes around town and set its outer limits. On the map they create irregular breaks where the street grid suddenly stops.
Mountain roads
Roads wind up toward Pico de Orizaba and down into the valleys. Their curving lines lead the eye outward from the compact centre.
