关于地图
Delfzijl Map Poster & Print
Delfzijl lies in the far northeast of the Netherlands, where the province of Groningen meets the Ems estuary opposite the German coast. From above, the town is defined by water: a long dike along the shore, harbour basins cutting into the land, and the Eemskanaal arriving from the west after its straight run from the city of Groningen.
The town grew as a fortified port and later as an industrial harbour, with chemical plants and port facilities stretching along the waterfront. It has an unexpected literary link as well: Georges Simenon is said to have written the first Maigret story while his boat was moored here, and a statue of the detective stands in town.
A Delfzijl map poster shows a place shaped by engineering. The old centre sits just behind the seawall, the harbour and industrial zone extend in long rectangles to the side, and flat polder land with straight drainage lines surrounds everything else. Near the seawall, the Adam windmill adds a small landmark to an otherwise horizontal scene.

Eemskanaal
The canal from Groningen reaches Delfzijl in a long straight line, meeting the harbour and giving the composition a strong axis from the west.
Harbour basins
Rectangular docks and quays cut into the land beside the centre, drawn as bold geometric shapes that set the port apart from the residential streets.

为什么选Delfzijl
一张有意义的地图
Delfzijl appeals to people with ties to Groningen, to sailors and to readers of Simenon. The interplay of dike, canal and harbour produces a graphic, almost architectural image that suits modern interiors and maritime-themed rooms alike.
Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a date or a boat name. A free 900 px watermarked preview is available, and HD files are $9 without watermark.
