关于地图
Dumjor Map Poster & Print
Dumjor lies in Howrah district, West Bengal, on the western fringe of the Kolkata metropolitan area. From above it is a place where urban and rural patterns overlap. Tight clusters of lanes and houses are interspersed with ponds, small water bodies and patches of cultivated land, and a few main roads connect the area to Howrah and beyond.
The ponds are a signature of the Bengal landscape and show up clearly on a map as small, scattered shapes among the streets. The lane network is irregular and dense, grown over time rather than planned, which gives the print a fine, intricate texture.
A Dumjor map poster is a personal print for people who live there, grew up there or have family in Howrah. It shows the density of everyday life at the edge of a great city.
