关于地图
El Charco Map Poster & Print
El Charco lies in the Pacific lowlands of Nariño, in southwestern Colombia, on the Tapaje River. There are no roads linking it to the interior, so the river and the sea are the main routes in and out. On a map the town is a small cluster of streets along the riverbank, surrounded almost entirely by water and forest.
Downstream, the Tapaje breaks up into a maze of channels, islands and mangroves before reaching the Pacific. From above, these waterways form a branching, almost tree-like pattern. That pattern is the true subject of any wider map of El Charco, and the town becomes a small but important point within a vast watery landscape.
An El Charco map poster is mostly about water: the curving river, the braided channels and the coast in the distance. The town's streets add a small, dense focus near the bank. For people from the Nariño coast, the image captures the reality of life organized around rivers and tides rather than highways.
