Élancourt Map Poster & Print
Élancourt is part of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, the new town planned in the late twentieth century on the plateau west of Versailles. Its map combines two eras. There is a small old village core with a church and farm lanes, and around it are later neighbourhoods laid out in curving roads, pedestrian paths and grouped housing.
The commune's best-known landmark is the Colline d'Élancourt, a hill built up from excavation spoil. At about 231 metres it is among the highest points in the region. Élancourt is also home to France Miniature, a park of scale models of French monuments, and to the medieval Templar commanderie of La Villedieu.
