关于地图
Elazığ Map Poster & Print
Elazığ lies in eastern Anatolia on a broad upland plain, and its map is more regular than that of many Turkish cities. The modern town was developed in the nineteenth century below the older settlement of Harput, and it spreads out in a fairly orderly network of avenues and blocks, with newer districts extending across the flat ground in several directions.
Harput itself still stands on a hill just to the north, with its castle, old mosques and views across the plain. Water shapes the wider region: the reservoir of the Keban Dam on the Euphrates lies to the north and west, and Lake Hazar, the source of the Tigris, lies in the mountains to the southeast.
An Elazığ map poster shows the contrast between the planned city on the plain and the older hilltop settlement above it. Straight streets fill the lower ground, while roads to Harput bend and climb, a clear image of how the city grew down from its historic heights.

Planned city plain
The central districts follow a comparatively regular layout of avenues and blocks, giving the core of the map a calm, even texture.
Lakes in the region
The Keban reservoir and Lake Hazar lie beyond the city, a reminder of the waters of the Euphrates and Tigris that frame this landscape.
