Looping street plan
Neighbourhoods are laid out in curves, loops and cul-de-sacs rather than a grid, creating a repeating, almost ornamental pattern across the whole sheet.

关于地图
‘Ewa Gentry Map Poster & Print
ʻEwa Gentry is a community on the ʻEwa Plain in south-west Oʻahu, west of Pearl Harbor. From above it looks very different from Hawaii's older towns: curving collector roads enclose neighbourhoods of looping streets and cul-de-sacs, a pattern typical of master-planned development. The ground is almost perfectly flat, so the design reads clearly without any interference from hills.
The land was once part of the extensive sugar cane fields of the ʻEwa Plantation, which shaped this area for much of the twentieth century. Residential development by Gentry Homes, which gave the community its name, began in the later part of the century as the plantation era closed. Parks and school grounds appear as open spaces among the housing.
An ‘Ewa Gentry map poster turns that planned geometry into a tidy, almost decorative pattern of curves and loops. It suits families who have made a home here, service members stationed nearby, and anyone who appreciates the graphic quality of a well-designed suburb seen from the air.

Flat ʻEwa Plain
The community sits on level coastal plain, so there are no slopes to bend the streets, and the planned layout appears exactly as designed.
Parks and school grounds
Open recreational spaces and campuses punctuate the housing at regular intervals, giving the map calm areas between the fine residential streets.
