Planned grid
The streets form a regular, rectangular pattern established by the town's founders. It gives the centre of the print a calm, geometric structure.

关于地图
Filadelfia Map Poster & Print
Filadelfia is in the Boquerón Department, in the heart of the Paraguayan Chaco. It was founded around 1930 by Mennonite settlers as the centre of the Fernheim colony. From above, its planning is obvious: a regular grid of straight streets set in a flat landscape of dry forest, pasture and cleared farmland.
The town grew around cooperative institutions, and farming, dairy and cattle ranching still support much of the local economy. Its orderly layout contrasts sharply with the empty land around it, where straight roads and fence lines stretch across the plains toward other colony villages and distant ranches.
A Filadelfia map poster shows this unusual settlement clearly: an ordered grid in the middle of a vast, sparsely populated region. It has the precision of a planned town and the openness of the Chaco around it.

Straight Chaco roads
Long, straight roads run out from the town across the flat land. They connect Filadelfia to farms and neighbouring colony settlements.
Open plains
Around the grid, the map shows wide spaces of forest and pasture. The white space highlights how isolated the town is.

为什么选Filadelfia
一张有意义的地图
Filadelfia has meaning for Mennonite families, descendants of the early settlers and anyone who has lived or worked in the Chaco. Its clean grid makes an especially graphic, understated poster.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a founding date. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
