Residential grid
Short, regular blocks of single-storey houses make up most of the district, drawn as a fine mesh of streets that shifts angle between neighbouring developments.

关于地图
Fontanar Map Poster & Print
Fontanar sits on the southern edge of Havana, in the municipality of Boyeros, far from the sea walls and colonial plazas most people picture when they think of the Cuban capital. From above it reads as a quiet residential fabric: short blocks, single-storey houses with yards, and streets that change direction wherever one planned section meets the next.
The defining neighbour on the map is José Martí International Airport, whose runways and aprons form a large, open shape close by. Around it the city loosens into lower density, with green lots, sports grounds and roads leading outward toward the countryside of the province. The contrast between the fine residential mesh and the empty expanse of the airfield gives the composition a clear structure.
A Fontanar map poster shows a side of Havana that visitors pass through but rarely look at closely: the everyday neighbourhood where families live, with arrivals and departures happening just beyond the rooftops. In black and white the street pattern becomes a measured drawing of a place defined by homes rather than monuments, which is exactly what makes it personal to the people who know it.

Airport edge
The runways of José Martí International Airport lie close by, a set of long straight strokes and open ground that contrasts sharply with the small-scale streets around them.
Southern outskirts
Toward the south the map thins into green space and scattered roads, marking where urban Havana gives way to the farmland of the surrounding province.

为什么选Fontanar
一张有意义的地图
People who hang a map of Fontanar usually have a direct connection to it: a childhood home, family still living there, or memories tied to flights in and out of Havana. The poster keeps that connection visible, drawn simply enough to sit in any room.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a year, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as a $9 digital HD download or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
