关于地图
Gelligaer Map Poster & Print
Gelligaer lies in the county borough of Caerphilly in South Wales, on high ground between the valleys of the Rhymney and the Taff Bargoed. The site has been occupied for a long time: the remains of a Roman fort lie close to the village, and the old parish church of St Catwg stands near the centre.
On a map, the community reflects the terrain of the valleys. The older village sits on the ridge, while roads descend steeply toward the valley floors, where later settlements grew around coal mining and industry. The street pattern follows contours, creating long terraces and winding routes rather than a regular grid.
A Gelligaer map poster shows how a hilltop settlement relates to the valleys around it. The ridge-top roads, the terraced streets and the open upland between them form a composition that is unmistakably Welsh, shaped by landscape and by centuries of changing use.

为什么选Gelligaer
一张有意义的地图
Gelligaer suits anyone with roots in the South Wales valleys, whether family ties or a childhood spent on these hills. A map poster keeps the shape of the ridge and its streets close, calmly and without sentiment.
Add a title and subtitle, such as a family name or date, and set the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
