Georgetown Map Poster & Print
Georgetown is the seat of Scott County in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky, just north of Lexington. Its historic core is a small grid centred on the courthouse square, and from above the town spreads out into newer neighbourhoods, industrial areas and the gently rolling horse-farm country that defines this part of the state.
The town grew around Royal Spring, a natural spring that still feeds a small park near downtown. Georgetown is also home to Georgetown College, one of the older colleges in Kentucky, and to a large Toyota vehicle manufacturing plant, which has shaped the town's growth and economy for decades.
A Georgetown map poster shows the layers of a Kentucky town that has expanded outward from its square. Old streets meet newer subdivisions, Elkhorn Creek winds through the landscape, and major interstate routes pass along the edge, giving the composition a mix of fine detail and long, sweeping lines.
