Castle and moat
The brick castle sits beside a ring of water within parkland. It is one of the most distinctive shapes on the map and a natural focal point near the middle of the print.

关于地图
Gyula Map Poster & Print
Gyula lies in south-eastern Hungary, a few kilometres from the Romanian border, on the flat land of the Great Hungarian Plain. The White Körös passes the town and narrower channels run through it, so water shows up on the map in several places at once. The streets spread out from the centre in a loose, irregular pattern rather than a strict grid.
At its heart is Gyula Castle, a Gothic brick fortress often described as the only surviving lowland brick castle of its kind in Central Europe. It stands in a green park with a moat, next to a large thermal bath complex. A Gyula map poster shows the castle grounds as a calm open area inside the denser fabric of the town.
The town is also the birthplace of Ferenc Erkel, who composed the music of the Hungarian national anthem, and it gives its name to a well-known smoked sausage. On paper, though, its character comes from plain and water together: winding channels, park edges and a street network that loosens as it reaches the fields.

Town channels
Thin watercourses run through Gyula, crossing streets and bordering gardens. They add fine curving lines that contrast with the straighter roads around them.
Spa park
The thermal bath complex and its green surroundings form a broad open area beside the castle. It gives the composition a quiet pause among the built-up blocks.

为什么选Gyula
一张有意义的地图
Gyula is a place people return to, for the baths, for family, for summer evenings by the castle. A map of it keeps those visits in mind. Personalise the title and subtitle with a name or date, and adjust the coordinates line if you want to mark a particular spot.
The poster comes in five styles, from Classic black & white and Noir to the softer Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download all six print sizes for $9 as watermark-free 300 DPI PNG and PDF files, or have a matte poster printed and shipped near you, framed in wood if you like.
