Bahá'í terraces
Nineteen terraces climb the Carmel slope in a straight line, and on the map they appear as a precise vertical axis cutting across the winding streets.

关于地图
Haifa Map Poster & Print
Haifa is built on the northern end of Mount Carmel, where the ridge drops steeply to the Mediterranean and the broad Bay of Haifa curves away to the north. The topography shapes everything on the map. Streets switch back up the slopes in tight zigzags, neighbourhoods sit on separate spurs divided by wooded ravines, and the lower city runs flat along the waterfront.
The best-known feature is the Bahá'í Gardens, a line of terraces descending the mountainside around the golden-domed Shrine of the Báb. Below them, Ben Gurion Boulevard runs straight through the German Colony toward the port, so gardens and street form a single axis. The gardens are part of a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most photographed views in Israel.
Haifa is also a working port city, home to one of the country's main harbours and to the Technion, Israel's oldest technical university. A Haifa map poster brings together the harbour's angular piers, the curving mountain roads and the clean line of the bay, a composition few cities can match.

Carmel switchbacks
Roads zigzag up the mountain in hairpin bends. The ravines between the ridges stay green, giving the upper city its layered, fingered pattern.
Port and bay
Along the lower city, the straight quays and breakwaters of the port meet the smooth arc of the Bay of Haifa, which sweeps north toward Acre.

为什么选Haifa
一张有意义的地图
Few cities have such a strong silhouette, and Haifa's mix of mountain, sea and harbour makes an especially graphic print. Many people who studied at the Technion or lived on the Carmel keep the map as a reminder, personalised with a neighbourhood subtitle, a date and coordinates.
Noir emphasises the lights of the slope, Blueprint suits the engineering side of the city, and Classic black & white, Paper and Sand are softer options. Order the $9 HD download in six sizes, or a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
