The Cuckoo Trail
A path on the route of a disused railway crosses the town from north to south. On the poster it appears as a smooth, continuous curve through the street pattern.

关于地图
Hailsham Map Poster & Print
Hailsham is a market town in East Sussex, a few miles north of Eastbourne. Its older core around the High Street and the parish church is small, and most of the town is made up of twentieth-century and newer housing spreading out in curving roads and closes. On a map, the historic centre looks like a knot of short streets inside a much larger residential ring.
To the east lie the Pevensey Levels, low and drained, with wet grassland and ditches that appear as fine, straight lines at larger scales. The Cuckoo Trail runs through the town. It is a walking and cycling path along the route of a former railway, and it cuts a long, gentle line through the estates from north to south.
Hailsham was long known for rope-making, and its works supplied rope and twine well beyond Sussex. Its livestock market is another survival of its trading past. A Hailsham map poster shows the town at a scale where the old centre, the newer estates and the edge of the Levels all fit together on one sheet.

Pevensey Levels
East of town, drained marshland is divided by ditches and channels. It gives the map a flat, finely ruled texture quite unlike the residential streets.
Old centre, new edges
A compact historic core around the High Street is surrounded by later estates of loops and closes, which makes the town's growth easy to read from above.

为什么选Hailsham
一张有意义的地图
Hailsham tends to be a home rather than a destination, and that is exactly why a map of it matters. It suits people who grew up walking the Cuckoo Trail, commuters who settled between the Downs and the coast, or anyone leaving Sussex who wants to take the streets with them.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so the poster can carry a street name, a wedding date or simply the town's name. Printed versions on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame, ship from print partners in more than 30 countries.
