关于地图
Hājīpur Map Poster & Print
Hājīpur lies on the north bank of the Ganges, directly across the river from Patna, at the point where the Gandak flows in. Water dominates the map: two wide rivers, their sandbanks and shifting channels, and a town that keeps its distance from the floodplain. Its streets gather on higher ground, and roads fan out towards the villages of Vaishali district.
The Mahatma Gandhi Setu, one of the longest river bridges in India, crosses the Ganges from Hājīpur to Patna and is an unmistakable straight line on any map of the area. Hājīpur is the headquarters of Vaishali district and of the East Central Railway zone. The surrounding countryside is known for its banana plantations.
A Hājīpur map poster shows a town defined by its rivers and its crossings, with the bridge reaching south and the rail lines heading north. For people from the town, and for anyone who has crossed to Patna many times, it is a clear and personal picture of home.

Gandak confluence
The Gandak meets the Ganges beside the town. The wide channels and sandbars of both rivers fill a large part of the poster with open, pale space.
Railway town
Hājīpur is the headquarters of the East Central Railway zone. Its rail lines and junctions cut clearly through the streets and connect it with the rest of north Bihar.
