关于地图
Havířov Map Poster & Print
Havířov is one of the youngest towns in the Czech Republic, founded in the 1950s to house workers for the coal mines of the Ostrava region. Its name comes from the Czech word for miner. From above, it looks strikingly planned: long straight avenues, symmetrical housing blocks and large open courtyards set out according to a single design.
The oldest part of the town was built in the socialist realist style of the early 1950s, with ornamented facades and formal street axes, while later districts use prefabricated panel blocks arranged more loosely. The Lučina River runs along the town's edge, and the Těrlicko reservoir lies close by to the southwest.
A Havířov map poster makes the town's history readable in its geometry. The ceremonial main avenue, the repeating courtyard blocks and the later estates each leave a different pattern. Around them, older villages and green belts fill the gaps, showing how the new town was placed onto an existing landscape.

Courtyard blocks
Large residential blocks enclose green inner courtyards, repeating across the districts and giving the map a steady, almost architectural rhythm.
Lučina River
The Lučina flows along the town's edge, with the Těrlicko reservoir nearby, providing the only irregular natural lines in an otherwise orderly plan.

为什么选Havířov
一张有意义的地图
Havířov is a place with a clear identity, built from scratch for a single purpose. A map of it appeals to former residents, families of miners and anyone interested in planned towns and postwar architecture.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example with your district or a family date. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, with Blueprint underlining the town's planned design.
