关于地图
Hiratachō Map Poster & Print
Hiratachō lies in the flat land at the western end of Lake Shinji, in Shimane Prefecture. On the map, streets gather along a river channel and the roads that lead east and west along the lake shore. To the north, the wooded ridges of the Shimane Peninsula close in, so the town forms a band of settlement between hills and wide rice fields.
Hirata was long a local trading town, and its older streets reflect that past as a merchant centre linked by water. Since 2005 it has been part of the city of Izumo, known for the great Izumo Taisha shrine further west. The surrounding plain is laid out in regular paddy fields, giving the whole area a calm, measured structure.
A Hiratachō map poster captures the balance between the dense town centre, the geometric field pattern and the edge of Lake Shinji. It is a good choice for someone with ties to Izumo, or for anyone who remembers the quiet lake country of San'in and wants a map that feels both precise and gentle.

Paddy field grid
Around the town, rice fields form a fine, regular grid on the flat plain, a texture that contrasts with the curving streets of the centre.
Peninsula hills
Wooded ridges rise to the north, where the street network thins out into a few valley roads winding toward the Sea of Japan coast.
