Tungabhadra bank
The town lies directly beside the Tungabhadra. The river's broad curve gives the poster its strongest shape and divides the composition into land and water.

关于地图
Honnāli Map Poster & Print
Honnāli is a taluk town in Davanagere district in central Karnataka, built on the bank of the Tungabhadra River. From above, the river is the most striking feature, a wide, sweeping band of water that forms the edge of the town. Streets and houses are concentrated on the higher ground beside it, and roads run out across a landscape of fields and villages.
The Tungabhadra is formed upstream, where the Tunga and Bhadra rivers meet, and from there it flows north across the Deccan plateau. Its water supports areca, paddy and other crops in the area. The green of irrigated fields along the river stands out against the drier land further away.
A Honnāli map poster uses the river as its main line. The curve of the Tungabhadra runs across the frame, the town sits compactly against it, and the roads reach out in several directions toward villages on the plateau. It is a simple, balanced composition that shows how closely this town is tied to its river.

Compact centre
The older part of Honnāli is a dense network of streets close to the river. It shows as a finely detailed cluster in the middle of the map.
River plain fields
Irrigated farmland along the river forms a patchwork of small plots, and roads connect the town with neighbouring villages across the plateau.

为什么选Honnāli
一张有意义的地图
Many families across Davanagere and Shivamogga districts, and further afield, have roots in Honnāli. A map of the town and its river is a quiet, personal object that suits a living room or a study, or a gift for someone who grew up near the Tungabhadra.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download all six print sizes as PNG and PDF files for $9, or order a printed poster on matte paper.
