Jamundí Map Poster & Print
Jamundí lies just south of Cali in Colombia's Valle del Cauca, on the flat, fertile floor of the Cauca valley. The Jamundí River runs past the town, and to the west the land rises steeply towards the Farallones de Cali. On a map there is a clear contrast between the flat, gridded lowland to the east and the empty, folded ground of the mountains.
Over recent decades Jamundí has grown quickly as Cali expanded southward. Many new residential developments now sit alongside the older town centre. From above the difference is easy to see. The original core has a compact grid around its central square, while the newer housing estates have their own curving internal roads and gated layouts.
A Jamundí map poster frames the town at the point where the Cauca valley meets the mountains. River lines and the highway to Cali cross the frame, older blocks gather in the middle, and newer districts spread outward in all directions. It is a picture of a place still taking shape, set against one of Colombia's most dramatic landscapes.
