关于地图
Kanash Map Poster & Print
Kanash grew up around the railway in the Chuvash Republic, and the tracks still dominate its map. Several lines meet here, forming a wide band of sidings and yards that divides the town. Residential neighbourhoods sit on either side in a mostly regular pattern of streets and blocks. From above, the effect is orderly and strongly linear.
Away from the railway, the town mixes low private houses on small plots with Soviet-era apartment blocks. On the map these appear as two textures: a fine, even grid of lanes and larger, more open blocks. Around the edges, the fields and woodland of the Chuvash countryside frame the settlement.
A Kanash map poster suits anyone with a feel for railway geography, or anyone who grew up to the sound of trains. The converging tracks give the composition a strong central axis. In black and white, the contrast between rail, street and open land comes out clean and graphic.

Two textures
Areas of small private houses and districts of larger apartment blocks sit side by side, each with its own distinct pattern of streets.
Countryside edge
Fields and patches of forest surround the town, so the built-up area appears as a clear, compact shape within the lighter landscape.
